Visiting Student

Tadeas is an undergraduate student at IMC University of Applied Sciences in Krems, Austria. He joined our lab in September, 2026 as a visiting research student and will remain with us until January 2027.

His placement is supported by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, which funds international study and traineeship mobility for students across Europe.

During his placement he is training in Oxford Nanopore long-read sequencing across both wet-lab and computational workflows, from DNA extraction and library preparation through nanopore data processing on our HPC cluster, culminating in an applied project in clinical genomics.

A multilingual speaker of Czech (native), English, Slovak, German, and French, he enjoys baking, traveling, hiking, cross-country running, and crochet.
