Our Lab at the 71st KSMGG Spring Conference! π§¬
On April 23, 2026, our lab attended the 71st Spring Conference of the Korean Society of Medical Genetics and Genomics (KSMGG), held at the Baekbeom Kim Koo Memorial Hall in Seoul.
The program offered a rich overview of where medical genetics is heading β from prime editing-based functional variant evaluation and brain somatic mutations in psychiatric disease, to multi-omics approaches for metabolic complexity, multi-center WGS pipelines for ending the diagnostic odyssey in rare diseases, and AI-driven liquid biopsy and precision immuno-oncology.
We are especially proud that Dr. Yoon delivered a talk in Session II-B (Clinical Translation of Genomic Data: Bench-to-Bedside in Rare Disease Research), titled βFrom Sequence Extension to Disease: Integrative Functional Prediction of Stop-loss Variants,β building on our recently published work. Many thanks to the KSMGG organizing committee and to all the colleagues who joined us for the lively discussions β we came back energized and full of new ideas to carry into our ongoing work! π
