The lab now has the first version of its own T-shirt, and we could not be more excited to wear it!

“SEQUENCING LIFE” is our humorous slogan for everyday lab life.

Printed in crisp white on deep navy, the front lays out what we do every day as a five-step pipeline:

PIPETTE ADDICTED → GENOME SEQUENCING → DNA IS OUR CODE → LINUX POWERED → DATA NEVER SLEEPS,

complete with a pipette, a nanopore sequencer, a DNA double helix, the Linux penguin, and a humming server.

Below the icons, a progress bar reads

LOADING GENOMES… 99% — a wink at every analysis that is almost done but somehow always needs one more run. 😄

It carries the PGM Lab name and our motto, “Decoding the Genomes, Transforming Patient Care,” showing the playful design back to what we actually do every day.

I designed this 2026 edition of our lab T-shirt so we could carry a little of the joy of scientific discovery with us wherever we go.

I hope this t-shirt stays with each of you as a small token of the time we shared decoding genomes together.

A small thing, but a fun way to show some lab spirit — and a reminder that behind every variant call there is a team that loves this work. 🤣
