2026 Nanopore User Group Meeting Seoul
Last Thursday, our lab members attended the 2026 Oxford Nanopore User Group Meeting in Seoul, held at the Dragon City Hotel in Yongsan.
The program featured six invited speakers from a wide range of fields, showcasing how nanopore sequencing is being applied across the spectrum from basic science to clinical practice.
Our group was also given the opportunity to present our ongoing work 🧬, including whole-genome sequencing of 56 Korean individuals.
The venue was excellent and the meeting drew a large, engaged crowd.
Beyond the talks, it was a great chance to network with many researchers working with nanopore technology and exchange ideas across disciplines,
and the lunch 🍽️ was also great.
We came away with plenty of inspiration for the projects ahead.
Last but not least — it was also Sophia Sim’s final day interning with us.
We hope your time here was a good one, and we’ll be keeping our 🤞 fingers crossed for your next step.
Best of luck, Sophia!
